Wards still shut to contain bug

Have your say

FOUR wards remain closed to new admissions at a Sheffield hospital to control an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug norovirus.

Visitors have been urged to stay away from the wards at the Northern General unless absolutely necessary, to stop the contagious virus spreading.

The bug can leave patients weak and dehydrated. People are urged not to visit if they have been unwell in the previous 72 hours.

It is not yet known when the wards will reopen.
