Walk in for treatment

Have your say

A WOMAN has been arrested and quizzed on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was left with serious head injuries after an attack near Barnsley.

The woman, who has not been named, was arrested after officers were alerted to an incident on Cote Lane, Thurgoland, at 1.40am on Wednesday. Emergency services found an injured 68-year-old man who was taken to hospital for treatment and discharged the following day.

Holiday health

RESIDENTS who fall ill over the holidays are urged to seek treatment at Sheffield’s new walk-in centre rather than going to A&E.

The centre, formerly at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, is now based at the Sheffield City GP Clinic in Broad Lane.

It will be open from 8am until 10pm today, tomorrow and next week for the Royal wedding and May Day Monday.

Easter fun run

AN EASTER fun run in aid of Mencap has been organised around Rother Valley Country Park at 10am tomorrow.
