RAIL firm East Midlands Trains has received a national award for its management and performance.
The company, which runs services between Sheffield and London, has been presented with an Excellence Award by business body the British Quality Foundation.
East Midlands Trains is the first rail company to receive the top four-star rating for demonstrating ‘a high level of management, strategic planning and leadership across the business’.
It is the first time the company has entered the awards.
A team of assessors visited East Midlands Trains, conducting a range of interviews and studying the company’s work processes.
