Sheffield Wednesday legend Chris Waddle is inviting keen golfers to join him for a day of sport and fundraising.
Waddle is organising the annual charity golf day on July 19 at Sickleholme Golf Club in the Hope Valley, featuring a line-up of former Owls players including David Hirst, David Ford, Imre Varadi and Peter Eustace.
Waddle is leading the event for the fourth year running in aid of Sheffield charity Cavendish Cancer Care, of which he is a patron.
The golfing fun starts at 11am with a shotgun start before 22 teams, each led by a different celebrity, play three hours of golf.
Beer and nibbles will be served at the 13th hole and a three-course meal rounds off the day.
Sally Eustace, fundraiser for Cavendish, said: “It’s important to have fun while you’re fundraising, that is what makes an event truly successful.”
Chris Waddle also urged people to sign up, adding: “Come and help support this worthy charity on their annual golf day, meet my friends and enjoy yourselves.”
Tickets are £250 for teams of three, or players can sponsor a hole for £100. Email email@example.com or call 07887 678686 to register.
