GOLF enthusiasts are being invited to take on a game in aid of a national cancer charity later this month.
The event will take place at Rother Valley Golf Centre in Rotherham on July 30 and will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
A host of prizes will be up for grabs, including nearest shot to the white line and pin, a putting competition and various other individual prizes.
There will also be an auction in the evening with prizes including a year’s membership to the club amongst other prizes.
The game has been organised by veteran Macmillan fundraiser Bee Wilcox as part of the charity’s centenary year celebrations.
Amy Hebdon, fundraising manager said: “We’d love to fill the course with teams from 6am to 1pm.
“The club have been very generous donating prizes for the raffle and the auction and it would be great to get plenty of support on the day and raise vital funds for those affected by cancer.” Call 0114 2473000 or visit the pro shop at Rother Valley to sign up.
