Surgeon speaks about life in India

A well-known South Yorkshire surgeon is sharing his experiences of growing up in India during a period of civil unrest by giving a talk today.

Sat Mehta, who served in Barnsley as an ear, nose and throat surgeon for more than 20 years, is speaking at the Experience Barnsley museum’s Learning Lab from 11am to 12.30pm.

He was born in India during the last days of the British Raj and was five when independence was declared in 1947. Call 01226 773950 for details.
