A doctor based in Sheffield has raised more than £900 for patients recovering from strokes by running a marathon.

Dr Marc Randall, a stroke physician from the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, ran the Yorkshire Marathon in three hours and 46 minutes, collecting £928 for the Stroke Association.

Dr Randall said: “There is great work that the association can do with donations. It really helped in that last hard five miles to know everyone was behind me.”
