Current and ex-smokers are being asked for their opinions on stop-smoking services in South Yorkshire.

A consultation on stop- smoking services in the county started last week and will run until Friday, July 26.

There are thought to be about 47,000 adults who smoke in Rotherham and Coun Ken Wyatt, Rotherham Council cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “We are determined to improve the support available to help smokers stop or at least consider stopping.

“We believe support services need to become more flexible and accessible so people have more choice in where, when and how they access it.

“We need smokers to tell us what they think about services they’ve received in the past and what they want from stop smoking services in the future.”
