Ladies from a Sheffield hospital have bared all for a revealing calendar – helping city charities in the process.

The team, from the Northern General’s medical education department, stripped off for 12 months’ worth of saucy pictures in aid of the Master Cutler’s Challenge – which this year supports the Jessop maternity wing’s neonatal unit and Whirlow Hall Farm Trust.

The daring photographs were taken at Ye Olde Mustard Pot pub in Midhopestones, with strategically-placed beer pumps and pint glasses helping to protect the team’s modesty.

Natalie Slater, undergraduate co-ordinator at the department, said the calendar was one of several events planned for the charity challenge, beginning with a bungee jump at the Magna centre on July 31.

A ladies’ night will be held at Hillsborough Club on Bradfield Road on June 5, starting at 7pm.

Other activities include a ‘tea and scone morning’ at the Northern General, a gentlemen’s night and clairvoyant night at Ye Olde Mustard Pot.

The pub will host a children’s day on July 13, Natalie added.

“There will be face painting, bouncy castle, stalls, games, a fancy dress competition and lots more,” she said.

An afternoon of tapas and cocktails at the Revolucion de Cuba bar on Mappin Street in Sheffield city centre follows on July 26.

“Tickets include three plates of tapas and a cocktail to be made behind the bar with one of the bartenders,” said Natalie.

In September a big raffle draw will take place, with the winning numbers picked by the Master Cutler, Forgemasters chairman Tony Pedder.

Prizes include two tickets to see John Bishop at the Motorpoint Arena, hotel stays, restaurant meals, family days out and a composite door worth more than £500.

n Calendars, priced £5, and ladies’ night tickets, costing £10, are available at the pub. Alternatively email, or calling 0114 305 2621.
