Scientists raising money by the bucketload with charity challenge in Sheffield park

Have your say

Researchers looking into treatments for motor neurone disease in Sheffield are reviving last year’s successful ice bucket challenge - with a twist.

Scientists from the Sheffield Institute of Translational Neuroscience will be in Endcliffe Park from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, inviting passers-by to douse them in buckets of water in return for £1 donations.

The ‘Soak a Scientist’ fundraiser has been organised alongside the South Yorkshire branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
