TWO runners went the distance in a 10km race through London and raised £500 for a South Yorkshire dementia charity.
Natalie Codd and Alistair Burgess took part in the Bupa 10km in aid of Lost Chord, a charity which provides interactive musical concerts in dementia homes and day centres across the region and beyond.
Tina Harrison, fundraising manager for the charity who is also Natalie’s mum, said: “This was a fantastic effort and just shows how much two people can achieve.
“Our next big sporting event will be the Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield on October 9 and I’d like to see as many people as possible signing up to run in support of Lost Chord and help us reach the £100,000 target for our High Notes appeal.”
