A big-hearted Zumba fan is calling for participants for a mass Zumbathon to raise money for the hospital where she worked as a nurse for more than a decade.

Julie Austin, aged 61, from Fulwood, is planning a 250-strong dance event for The Children’s Hospital Charity, after she spent 32 years working as an infection control nurse at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

The event takes place in the underground car park at Tesco on Spital Hill, Sheffield tomorrow from 11am to 1pm.

Julie said: “All of the donations and ticket sales from the event will go to the charity, which is close to my heart after seeing their fantastic work during my time at the hospital.

“If the venue was full to capacity, we could make more than £15000 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.”

Tickets are £10 each per adult or free for under 11s and can be bought on the day.
