HEALTH specialists took their services out onto the streets when they hit the road in an event designed to reach out to black and minority ethnic communities.
Matrons, specialist nurses and midwives from Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust were on hand to answer questions and offer advice about how to keep healthy at the roadshow at the Core.
Visitors could have a mini health check, pick up public health advice and visit the Cancer Bus.
Steve Wragg, trust chairman, said: “These roadshows are an invaluable opportunity for different communities in Barnsley to find out more about their local hospital.
“Hopefully these events will help people in Barnsley live longer, healthier lives.”
The next roadshow date is on Friday at Barnsley College and again at Darfield Road Working Men’s Club on Wednesday, June 29.
