Nurse ready for Santa Jog fun

Have your say

A BARNSLEY nurse who helps patients suffering from heart failure will be taking part in tomorrow’s British Heart Foundation’s annual Sheffield Santa Jog to give something back.

Mark Hallworth, aged 27, of Darley Terrace, who has worked as an auxiliary nurse at Barnsley Hospital for three years said: “I am regularly looking after people who are suffering from severe heart failure or some sort of heart condition. Heart failure is important to treat because as it gets worse it really impacts on their quality of life.”

Lauren Mallinson, BHF fundraising manager in Sheffield, added: “It is wonderful to have Mark’s support.”

n The Santa Jog starts at 11am in Tudor Square. Register on the day at the Winter Garden between 9.30am and 10.30am.
