ELTON John has helped Sheffield University raise £4,000 to fund research into neurological diseases by donating the proceeds of some ticket sales.
The superstar, who performed at Chesterfield’s B2Net Stadium in June, gave the cash to the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience, which carries out research into neurological conditions including Motor Neurone Disease and Parkinson’s Disease.
Director Prof Pamela Shaw said: “The research team and I are very grateful.”
