A new mobile medical unit funded by charity cash will be helping to treat patients with minor injuries and illnesses in Sheffield city centre on busy nights.

The unit will be used by Yorkshire Ambulance Service, providing a static ambulance facility on Friday and Saturday evenings as well as other occasions such as Bank Holidays.

It is fitted out with treatment and waiting areas for patients, and will also be used to support clinicians at large events such as the Tour de France on July 6.

Funding was provided by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charitable Fund.
