Man the tills, stock the shelves, and find out more

Have your say

The new-look St Luke’s Hospice flagship store at Crookes is looking for fresh volunteers to meet rising customer demand.

The shop recently reopened after a refit and extension to create the charity’s first furniture showroom.

But with more customers than ever before now coming in to pick up a bargain, there’s an even greater need for volunteers to man the tills and keep the shelves stocked.

“We have to say a big thank you to the people of Crookes for helping to make our new-look shop such a great success,” said the hospice’s retail development manager Darren Sterling.

“We are now looking for new volunteers to join our retail team and help that success to grow. Crookes is a great place to work, meet new friends and contribute to a fantastic cause.”

Volunteers are also being sought for the new St Luke’s shop at Crystal Peaks, scheduled to open in August.

And St Luke’s is manning a special stand in the Winter Garden for a week from next Monday, June 24, to provide a full rundown of all the volunteering opportunities at the hospice. The stall will be manned between 10.30am and 1.30pm every day.
