Letters to offer a weighty message for parents

Parents and carers of Sheffield school children are set to receive information to help their children maintain a healthy weight as part of a controversial national government scheme.

The National Child Measurement Programme has been taking place in schools since 2005 with letters now going out to the parents and carers of children from both Reception Year - aged four and five - and Year 6 - aged 10 and 11.
