Laptop boost for patients

A LAW firm has donated a laptop computer to a Doncaster rehabilitation centre for people who have suffered brain injuries.

Irwin Mitchell handed the equipment over to Magnolia Lodge, based in the grounds of Tickhill Road Hospital, Balby, for use in support and therapy.

It will be used by patients to stay in touch with family and keep up-to-date on news and current events. It will also be used to help with their rehabilitation.

Clare Fletcher, matron at the unit, said: “People who have suffered an injury and have neurological problems find lots of previously intuitive things very challenging. Introducing a wide range of stimulating activities to the brain can help the rehabilitation process.”
