DEMENTIA charity Lost Chord is again to benefit from the proceeds of Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce’s annual ball.

Lost Chord received £5,000 raised at the 2011 ball, and chamber president Chris MacCormac has again chosen to donate funds to the Maltby-based charity from the 2012 event.

This year’s ‘Mystery Masquerade’ takes place at Rotherham’s Magna Centre on Saturday, May 12.

Helena Muller, chief executive of Lost Chord, said: “We really are indebted to the chamber for selecting us again. The present financial climate is really taking its toll but we can’t possibly give up on the people struggling with this debilitating disease.”
