ROTHERHAM Hospital has been picked out by the national chief executive of the NHS as a model for the way the country’s health system will work in the future.

Sir David Nicholson, speaking at the NHS Confederation conference, said Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, was ‘completely redefining’ the way the health system will run.

He praised the trust’s partnership with Rotherham’s GP clinical commissioning group and said the work had ‘already showed the benefits and outcomes for patients’.
