A MENTAL health boss in Sheffield has retired after more than 30 years of service to the NHS.

Pam Stirling, director of strategic development and professional lead for psychologists and allied health professions at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, was involved in the design and operation of mental health services in the city.

Pam, who previously worked as a clinical psychologist in Sheffield, Chesterfield and Northumberland, said: “I have been fortunate in my career to work with a whole range of people who both use the NHS and who provide services for some of the most vulnerable people in society.

“It has been extremely satisfying and not without its challenges.”

Pam plans to remain involved in the Health and Social Care Trust during her retirement.
