COMPETITORS are getting ready for the annual Rotary Disability Games, to be held at the Barnsley Metrodome and Riley’s Snooker Club this month.
The event is a day of competition organised by Rotary clubs within the counties of South Yorkshire, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, and will take place on Sunday, April 14.
The games are ‘pan-disability’ which means anyone with a recognised disability can take part. Last year 20 teams entered, with 400 competitors taking part in 10 different sporting events.
Sports include wheelchair racing, archery, darts, rifle shooting, snooker, swimming and table tennis.
