A SOCIAL group for people living with the young onset of dementia has been launched in Rotherham.
The Forget-Me-Not group was officially launched with a visit from Mayor of Rotherham Councillor Shaun Wright.
Members will meet every Wednesday at the Oak Trees resource centre in Willow Road, Stag, Rotherham, between 10am and 4pm.
The group has been set up to support people living with dementia who are aged under 65 from across the borough.
Primary care trust NHS Rotherham is also hoping to use the group to raise more awareness of the condition, encourage people to go to the doctor if they are suffering from memory problems, provide respite for carers and improve the health and wellbeing of patients.
