A FIRM of Sheffield chartered accountants has donated over £7,000 to St Luke’s Hospice after smashing its fundraising target.

Barber Harrison and Platt has donated £7,046, to the hospice raised over the last 12 months.
The original fundraising target was £2,500.

Jane Marshall from the firm said: “We have always done our utmost to support the local community and has regularly carried out ad-hoc fundraising and voluntary work.

“Last year we decided to adopt a charity of the year. St Luke’s was selected by staff vote, and we have very much enjoyed working with the charity during the year.”

The staff raised the money through a variety of challenges and events, including the Starlight Walk, It’s a Knockout, a young professionals’ networking event, a charity gig, and a number of bake sales.
