a GRIEVING dad whose son died from an asthma attack while on holiday celebrating his pal’s 21st birthday in Skegness has teamed up with a city pub to organise an Easter weekend of activities to raise awareness and funds.

Vic Breen says his life “will never be the same” after the fatal asthma attack struck down his son Matt, 21, in August.

Vic, aged 58, from Highfield, also dad to Jonathan, 28, said he was finding comfort in fundraising for Asthma UK.

“I wouldn’t wish what we are going through on anybody, so if we can try to help just one other person it will be worth it.”

The activities have all been arranged in and around The Norton pub at Meadowhead, today, tomorrow and Easter Sunday. There’s a sponsored walk to Manor Castle, a car and van wash, a static bike ride, pool and poker tournaments and an Easter egg hunt, as well as discos, a barbecue and a prize raffle.

For more information call the pub on 0114 2373217.
