Get moving is the message from health leaders in Sheffield as they kick-start a new campaign.

The Move More, Do Something scheme is asking residents to keep the sporting legacy of the London 2012 Olympic Games alive by adding a little physical activity to their day from Saturday, July 27.

A new weekly 5km park run, which launches in Manor Fields in August, forms part of the NHS Sheffield’s drive to get people healthy. There will be activities and events taking place across the city throughout the two-week campaign.

Dr Ollie Hart, a Sheffield GP, said: “This is a huge project for Sheffield that will shape health care and everyday life for the next 20 years and beyond.”
