a FORMER non-executive director of a South Yorkshire health trust has returned to his post following a series of changes in the structure of the organisation over the past 12 months.

Dr Philip Drury has been appointed to the position on the NHS Rotherham Trust Board until March 2013.

He had worked in the role from December 2007 until August last year when he stepped down.

Duties will include helping to plan for the future to improve services, ensuring the management team meets performance targets, making sure finances are managed properly with accurate information, helping the trust board work in the public interest and keeping its patients and public properly informed, and serving on trust board committees.

He joins chairman Alan Tolhurst and non-executive directors Pat Wade, Robin Stonebridge, Rekha Kapoor and John Gomersall and will receive a remuneration of £7,882 each year - the current rate for non-executive directors of primary care trusts.
