A SOLICITOR at a city firm raised £600 for charity with a sponsored 46-mile walk.

David Toyn, a personal injury specialist at Graysons WE, donated the cash to Ashgate Hospice in Chesterfield, which is his home town.

The 39-year-old took part in the Pathfinder March around the four main airbases in Cambridgeshire which were used by the Pathfinder Force in World War Two.

He was joined by his brother Andy, a Derbyshire Police officer, who raised £600 for Cancer Research.

David, whose grandad served with the Pathfinder force, said: “It was certainly a tough event, but for a very worthy cause.

“Andy and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and – apart from a few blisters of course – we came out of it relatively unscathed.”
