Cycling fun day for adults with learning disabilities in Sheffield

Have your say

A free cycling fun day is being held tomorrow by an organisation which supports adults with learning disabilities in Sheffield.

The event, organised by Citizenship First, is happening at Hillsborough Sports Arena from 11am to 3pm, featuring free bike MOTs as well as advice from the fire brigade and road safety teams.

Displays of cycling stunts are taking place at 11am and 1pm, and the Cycle Boost group will be encouraging visitors to road test bicycles.

Two smoothie bikes will be on hand for people to blend healthy drinks using pedal power, and a new ‘sports café’ is being launched which will run at the arena on a monthly basis.

The café is specifically aimed at promoting health, well-being and exercise for people with a learning disability.

Citizenship First is a not-for-profit organisation which helps more than 150 adults in Sheffield.
