An evening of classical and popular music at All Saint’s Church in Laughten-en-le-Morthen raised £4,000 for dementia charity Lost Chord.

The South Yorkshire annual event featured special guests from the classical world including harpist Jean Kelly, soprano Daire Halpin, pianist David Furnell and bass baritone Toby Hunt, all supporting a performance by international flautist Clare Langan.

Afterwards guests enjoyed refreshments in the house and garden at nearby Slade Hooton Hall.

“Our summer concert is now in its 14th year and it gets better every time,” said Lost Chord chief executive Helena Muller.

“This was a great evening. The musicians were fabulous.”
