ONLY half of Sheffield residents would start looking after their health if they survived a heart attack or a stroke, a new survey has revealed.
The research was carried out by Lloyds Pharmacy to mark National Heart Month.

It found only 47 per cent of city folk would act after a heart attack or stroke, and 47 per cent of those quizzed never check their blood pressure.

A further 56 per cent have never had a cholesterol check.

A third said they would rather not think about their heart health, while 13 per cent said they were ‘too busy’ to bother.

Lloydspharmacy has a free online heart risk calculator so people can calculate their risk of having a heart attack or stroke and take action.
