A VOLUNTEER with a passion for coffee and fundraising is being sought by a leading cancer charity to help promote their flagship event of the year.
Macmillan Cancer Support needs an intern to help with the plans and preparations for their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign, which takes place on September 30.
The successful applicant will join the South Yorkshire and Derbyshire fundraising team for three months.
Amy Hebdon, fundraising manager for Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the most successful fundraising events across the UK.
“Our intern will gain hands on experience of fundraising, marketing, media and PR as well as working with volunteers. This varied role would suit applicants looking for a career in event management, marketing or fundraising.”
Qualities required include creativity, excellent organisational skills, and confident communication skills.
The role will cover three to five days per week from the beginning of July until the end of September. It is an unpaid position, although expenses within agreed guidelines will be covered, and the candidate will be mentored by a fundraising manager.
