Caroline’s cancer walk

Have your say

Fundraisers will be putting their best feet forward to walk from Chesterfield to Sheffield in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Caroline Fernandez has organised the event on July 2, with 25 walkers due to set off from the Argos store in the town centre to Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield.

She wanted to say thank you for the care and support she received at the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at the hospital as she fought the disease.

Money raised will be games, CDs, and DVDs - or anything young people receiving treatment there want to make their lives more comfortable.

Caroline said: “Teenage Cancer Trust units aren’t like ordinary cancer wards.

“Everything about them has been designed to give teenagers the very best chance of a positive outcome.”
