Booklet to improve care for dementia patients

Have your say

A new tool has been introduced to help Sheffield hospital staff care for people with dementia.

Workers at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals have designed a booklet called All About Me, which helps patients express their likes and dislikes while staying on wards.

Rob Ghosh, clinical lead for dementia care at the trust, said: “We can capture personal details such as what makes the person anxious and what comforts them. It allows us to have a guide to ensure all the patients’ needs are met.”
