A MULTI-agency team has won significant funding to improve the lives of Doncaster children and their families.
The team, which includes Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust staff from integrated children, young people and families services, Doncaster Council social services and Action for Children, entered the Yorkshire and Humber Leadership Challenge.
In the Dragon’s Den style event there was £50,000 up for grabs.
Although they did not win, the Strategic Health Authority NHS Yorkshire and Humber contacted them to offer one-off funding of £30,000.
It will be used in the north of Doncaster in children’s services to pool resources and skills more effectively.
The aim is to tip the balance from reactive containment of family crises, to proactive, restorative care of families.
It works with them to improve their children’s life chances.
