HEALTH bosses are hoping to stock up blood levels with a visit to the shops.

The National Blood Service is visiting the Lakeside Shopping Centre, next to White Rose Way, and is appealing for would-be blood donors to attend the session.

The mobile session will be running on Friday, May 20 and will be taking blood which is used in a range of treatments and conditions, including accidents and emergencies, general surgery and for patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, May 19, and Thursday, May 26, NHS nurses will be carrying out health tests for cholesterol, blood glucose, blood pressure, body mass index and cardiovascular risk score for Doncaster residents aged 40 to 74 between 10am and 2pm at the centre.
