A LOVING brother will be using pedal power to raise cash for a cause close to his heart when he takes on a 100km overnight cycle ride through London.
Stephen Chadburn is taking part in the Nightrider event on Saturday, raising money for the Lymphoma Association, a charity which supports people affected by the disease, the UK’s fifth most common cancer. The 28-year-old was inspired to sign up after his brother was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma at the end of last year.
Stephen said: “My brother’s diagnosis came out of the blue and was a total shock for the whole family.
“Thankfully, he was diagnosed early and his medical team at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield are confident that he will be completely clear after his full 12 sessions of radiotherapy. I am determined to take part to show my support for my brother and raise money for the charity which supports those affected by lymphatic cancer.”
