A SERVICE which gives vulnerable young people in Sheffield advice about relationships and sexual health has won the prestigious Young People’s Sexual Health Service of the Year award.

Sheffield Open Doors, which is led by the city’s Contraception and Sexual Health Service, has helped 25,000 young people since it was launched 11 years ago.

The project recently expanded to incorporate harm reduction information around alcohol and drugs by working with The Corner, Sheffield Young People’s Drug and Alcohol Service.

Open Doors project team manager Kerry Tate said: “It is an absolute pleasure to receive this award on behalf of the workers in Sheffield who have shown so much commitment and enthusiasm.”
