Ambulance workers in South Yorkshire are being balloted for more strike action amid an ongoing dispute with bosses.

Members of the Unite trade union at Yorkshire Ambulance Service have held a series of strikes since last April over changes to conditions, including longer shifts, a new meal break system and extra responsibilities for emergency care assistants.

Unite is calling for an independent inquiry by the Care Quality Commission. The ballot closes on June 25.
