THIS is how Sheffield Children’s Hospital could look in three years’ time, The Star exclusively reveals today.
Six leading architects have drawn up their vision for a £40 million expansion of the landmark hospital.
The new extension, to be completed by 2015, will transform the world-leading specialist facility with a stunning new wing off the existing buildings on Western Bank.
The architects have been commissioned to design space to hold three new wards, with 72 beds, as well as a new outpatients’ department and single-bed wards.
Now a panel of staff, parents and governors will get to work to choose the best option.
In January they will announce which design will be turned into reality.
