Health advice being offered to people on library visits

Have your say

Libraries will be able to offer healthy living advice as well as books for borrowing in North Derbyshire.

Branches at Clay Cross, Cresswell, Dronfield, Killamarsh and Newbould are among sites where health and wellbeing zones are being set up by Derbyshire County Council.

The zones will offer people the chance to pick up a range of information which can help keep them healthy and well.

Health care workers and volunteers will be available at health and wellbeing zone libraries on a rota basis to talk to people and carry out health checks, and give help and advice on making healthy choices and accessing services.
Health and wellbeing zones are already operating at Bolsover, Brimington, Chesterfield, Clowne, Eckington, Holmewood and Shirebrook libraries.
