His brother Matt Richardson organised the February 9 headshave, with cousin Dan Hirst and friends Jack Barnes, Tom Scott, Aaron Smith, Luke Pepper and Kyle Fletcher.

Matt said: “We are really grateful and overwhelmed by the support we have received and the money we have subsequently raised for Cancer Research. It means a lot to us all and we can’t thank everyone enough.”

Kirsten Richardson said: “We think the boys are amazing for doing the head shave and find it incredible that so much money has been raised in such a short space of time. Everyone has been so kind.”
