Have your say on South Yorkshire's new Police and Crime Plan

South Yorkshire residents are being urged to raise any issues of concern to help create a new Police and Crime Plan for the area.

Dr Alan Billings, South Yorkshire’s police and crime commissioner, would like to hear your thoughts on policing and what you feel are new or emerging priorities for officers to tackle.

These view will influence priorities in the next Police and Crime Plan, which will set out a five-year plan of action for the force.

Dr Billings said: “I have a legal duty as Police and Crime Commissioner to consult with the public on what they feel are current priorities for South Yorkshire Police. I do this in three ways:- I talk to people directly, I have engagement officers who will be attending events throughout South Yorkshire over the coming weeks to speak to people there, and I invite people to contact me or take part in an on-line survey.

“I need to know what people feel are the emerging priorities for policing.”

More information on where you can meet with the engagement team will be published on the commissioner’s Twitter account @SYPCC and the website www.southyorkshire-pcc.gov.uk over the next few weeks.
