RESIDENTS are urged to have their say on how council tax benefit is calculated in future, after government cuts in the amount councils receive to fund the scheme.
Bolsover, Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire councils are proposing to reduce benefits given to people of working age from April. Pensioners would not be affected.
The councils are inviting residents to comment by telephone or email, or by attending public meetings being held in each area.
