Opponents Sevenoaks Suns reached their first ever WBBL final with an 82-67 win at All Saints.

Suns made the most of a rapid-fire start which laid the foundation for a famous success. Great Britain’s Helen Naylor and forward Brittany Winborne combined for 38 points, but it wasn’t enough for the holders.

U16s coach Mick Allen said: “Well done to the girls, they never gave up and kept fighting to the end.”

Following funding from the This Girl Can campaign Hatters are starting sessions for girls 11 and over for anyone wanting to take up the sport.

They are at All Saints Sports Centre on Thursdays 5-6.30pm and it’s £3.50 per session.

All girls are welcome. The club are particularly keen to increase numbers in the U14 squad.
