That's the cold fact from recent research suggesting Steel City is forefront among cities not feeling the love.

With February 14 just around the corner, LateRooms.com's survey warns local lovers, not violets, will be blue.

Sheffield folk's hopes of romantic gifts have been dashed like so much crushed chocolate and spilt champagne.

That's because almost two thirds of us brand traditional loved-up celebration as "commercial tosh" and "overrated".

The UK’s leading hotel booking website reports our city among biggest protesters nationwide to Valentine’s Day,

And one sixth of our community believe the most romantic thing to do on Valentine’s Day is ... absolutely nothing!
