Hundreds of Hare Krishna devotees will parade through a Sheffield park when a festival returns for its second year.
The Sheffield Rathayatra is taking place from 1pm in Endcliffe Park next Sunday, featuring a stage show celebration, dance perfomances and stalls selling memorabilia.
A procession will run through the park and a free ‘vegetarian feast’ is promised at the end of the day.
Rathayatra - or the ‘festival of the chariots’ - has been celebrated in India for almost 5,000 years and will be observed by millions worldwide.
Organiser Kay Wilson said: “Here in Sheffield we’ll be parading around one of our popular community parks. Anyone is welcome to come along and take part in this auspicious occasion.”
