Handbag stolen from visually-impaired woman at South Yorkshire train station

Police are looking for a man after a handbag was stolen from a visually-impaired woman at Rotherham station.

The theft occurred at around 12.50pm on Saturday, January 9.

PC Richard Ward said: “The victim, a visually impaired woman, accidentally left her handbag in the waiting room when she boarded her train.

“Once she realised her bag was missing, she returned to Rotherham station only to find it had been taken.”

Officers have managed to isolate CCTV images of a man they believe will have information about the incident.
