Hammer-wielding robbers break victim's jaw after targeting South Yorkshire home

Police have released an e-fit image after hammer-wielding robbers struck at a South Yorkshire home, leaving their victim with a suspected broken jaw.

At about 8.25pm on January 27, two men knocked on the door of a house in Lady Oak Road, Rotherham, before forcing their way inside.

The men, who were reportedly carrying a hammer, threatened the occupants before demanding money from them.

A quantity of cash and a mobile phone were taken and one of the occupants, a 43-year-old man, suffered a suspected broken jaw.

Both men are described as being white, aged in their late 20s to early 30s, and both were wearing dark clothing.

Following extensive enquiries into the incident, officers have now released an e-fit image of one of the men they are looking to trace.
